Convert Windows Server Evaluation to a Licensed Edition 2025

1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator

   • Press Windows + X → choose Command Prompt (Admin) or Windows Terminal (Admin)

2. Run the DISM Conversion Command

   • DISM /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /ProductKey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX /AcceptEula

Edition Options :

Choose the correct edition based on your license:

Standard Edition:

/Set-Edition:ServerStandard

Datacenter Edition:

/Set-Edition:ServerDatacenter

Wait for Conversion to Complete

During the process, progress may appear to freeze at 10%.

This is normal.

➡ Do NOT close the window.

➡ Wait at least 15–20 minutes.

Once finished, the system may reboot automatically. If it doesn’t, reboot manually.
